Fund Raising
Sponsorship
is the key!
8 Hours of b.i.k.e.-Syracuse/Tour
DeCuse
is all about getting yourself sponsored. We ask for a small entry fee to cover
our administration costs and then we ask you to fund raise the money we need to
put towards our life changing program. We rely entirely on voluntary donations,
so every penny of your sponsorship is vital.
Fundraising made easy
Individual Sponsorship
- Set yourself a target, and
make people aware of your progress.
- Get your first sponsors to
pledge large amounts, and hopefully others will follow!
- Keep your sponsor form with
you at all times and ask everyone you know to sponsor you. You could even
give a blank form to your close friends and family so that they can gather
sponsorship from their contacts too.
- Ask the manager at your
regular bike shop to sponsor you and ask him to keep a pledge sheet and
encourage his customers to make a donation.
Team sponsorship
- The 8 Hours of bike-Syracuse
Bikeathon is an ideal event for team building while raising money for
charity. Why not challenge colleagues, or another department to see who can
raise the most money!
- Ask your employer to match the
amount you fundraise from individual sponsorship, or see if you can apply
for a community award.
- Use any access you have to
free advertising space to promote your involvement in the 8 Hours of
bike-Syracuse and ask for sponsorship. E.g. a company newsletter, intranet,
website or professional publication.
Top fundraising individuals and teams will receive a
prize.
